Abstract/Summary
When a woman is known to join a rock band it has always been assumed that her role is simply to provide vocals or to do the bass, because by tradition, the depiction of these roles are the easier and less challenging roles to take on in a rock band-a realm which was originally dominated by men. The portrayal of a woman in a rock band is most likely to be based on sex-stereotypical roles however, this video documentary will feature four women from different bands and will provide an inside look on being a performer in a rock band.
