Abstract/Summary
Txfire Philippines Foundation Inc., is a non-government organization that focuses on conducting rescue operations, disseminating fire reports to different fire brigades and educating the public about fire safety. To educate the public about fire safety, Txtfire conducts free seminars for organization such as schools and private companies.
The audit conducted with members of Txtfire's target audience, the condominium administration and staff regarding their knowledge on fire safety showed that Txtfire was unable to disseminate information on fire safety to them.
To address the problem, the proponents of this study proposed a Fire Safety Small Group Discussion Program (SGD) which will include: (1) A training manual for Txtfire officers (2) A guidebook on fire safety for the participants of the SGD (3) Posters on fire safety (4) A PowerPoint Presentation on fire safety and (5) Feedback forms. This program along with the collaterals serve as a new medium for Txtfire to reach and educate the administration and staff of condominiums since they are first responders to a fire and are responsible in ensuring the safety of their tenants.
