Abstract/Summary

This thesis deals with research on Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) presented as a set of laboratory experiments. Various EMC equipment such as the spectrum analyzer and the near field probe, were used in gathering data, while some experiments use simpler materials and components in set-ups that exhibit Electromagnetic Interference (EMI). This also includes a laboratory manual and instructor's manual. A supplementary tutorial in the form of a computer-aided instruction will help students understand the basic concepts of EMC and the underlying theories on the experiments.

Adopting the suggested experiments from IEEE EMC Education Manual and other EMC-related articles and sources, necessary modifications were made in order to suit availability of equipment and materials. Data were gathered from these experiments, and these are included in the instructor's manual. This will contribute to the extensive research in engineering design our university is pursuing for the benefit of our country's development
