Abstract/Summary

The system proposed in this paper incorporate the visual programming software National Instruments Laboratory Virtual Instrument Engineering Workbench (NI Lab View) and the Garmin 160C Fish Finder to yield the ability of giving the user an approximation of the volume of aquaculture in the pond. Moreover, feed distribution calculation for specific area(s) can also be provided by the system. The main test subjects in this study are Bangus (Scientific name: Chanos Chanos). Through numerous testing, the proponents will commend certain operating parameters such as image processing type and frame interval to increase the accuracy level and to optimize the processing of the system.
