The study is focused on the factors that lead Filipino women to choose cybersex work as a profession. It also dwells on the factors and life experiences that increased their likelihood to enter the cybersex industry. The researchers of the study made use of a qualitative method of inquiry in order to acquire data. The participants were interviewed by the researchers. The results showed that poverty was a main predisposing factor that made them enter the industry. The aggravating factors that were identified were lack of job opportunities, peer influence and work convenience.
