Abstract/Summary

The purpose of this business plan is to determine the viability of the proposed product Fizzy Munchers. This product offers customers a fruit product which has been carbonated or tastes fizzy. Filipinos today enjoy snacking and this is a way of providing them with that craving in a healthy way. Since nutrition is also is also a trend among people nowadays, the partners decided to incorporate that idea when making the product. Health is an important aspect to consider and so being able to provide food which is beneficial for peoples well-being was a market problem that was tackled. This is an attractive business opportunity as the food industry is quite large and is currently kin the maturity stage. There is a high consumption of this good since people go out to buy food every day and being able to give a new twist or innovation to regular foods will attract customers. Not only that, the product will help promote nutrition among consumers, which sets it apart from other competitors who offer snacks, but are not that healthy. The company plans to set up a stall in a popular and frequented mall area as well as join in bazaars and at times also offer their products to students in school canteens and people in fitness centers. Fizzy Munchers plans on starting their pre-operating activities in September of 2012 and begin selling by mid-October. The total project cost for the first two months of operation was calculated approximately to be 49,816 pesos and the projected net income after tax of the company estimated to be about 24,300 pesos. The partners which founded Fizzy Munchers include Luiza Ramiento, Lauren See, Staceyann Seng and Hillary Yu. All four are students of De La Salle University currently taking up a course in BS-Chemistry minor in Business.
