Abstract/Summary
The proponents created a system that solves the problem of matching text lyrics with audio and transcribing these lyrics to a musical score sheet. The system accepts English A Capella nursery rhymes and the corresponding lyrics in .WAV and .TXT formats respectively. It can break down the words in the lyrics of the songs into syllables and match these syllables with their corresponding detected vocal pitches. The main features of music that will be used are pitch, beat and tempo. The output of the system is a digital music sheet containing notes, staves, rests, and lyrics of the song.
