Abstract/Summary

The research is about a multiple proximity-based distance measuring system. The main function that will serve to compute and process all the valid data will be employed into a Digital Signal Processing chip. The Infrared Transceiver sensors, mounted on a customized board, will take on the task of sending and receiving variable signals bounced off obstacles, and transfer these data onto the DSP board. The processed data (distances) will then be viewed through the monitor of the PC with its communication port easily interfaced through the DSP chip.
