Abstract/Summary

SWIDLAB is among the major laboratory courses for ECE students. It involves hands-on experience on how digital devices and theories work. This will enable students to gain knowledge on this field that can be applied in digital design for practical applications.

Realizing the importance of SWIDLAB, the Virtual Laboratory and Interactive Learning Software (VIRTUALAB) will provide an innovative and highly interactive manner of teaching the course. It will feature a combination of written text, audio, video, 2D and 3D animation enhancements to innovate in the methodology of teaching. Aside from software supplements, VIRTUALAB will also feature three hardware learning modules that will provide teaching heterogeneity. Furthermore, it will give the user an interactive environment that will provide control over the progress of the actual experiment and its procedures. Finally, the program will inform the user of his/her performance during the duration of the course.
