Abstract/Summary
Similar to a credit card, a smart card has its memory chip or microprocessor implanted in it in so it can store and manipulate data. Smart cards are presently used for many industries nowadays that uses identification systems, storage systems and many others.
Our proposed system uses a contactless smart card technology for the identification and location of faculty members of the De La Salle University, ECE department. Our proposed systems uses Oritec smart card reades, Mifare smart cards and a liquid crystal display.
Our thesis aims to help ECE students to know their professors schedule and their location based on our specified locations.
