Abstract/Summary

Design of prestressed concrete is more of a trial and error process, experience is basically the key to lessen the complex iteration involved. Precious time is wasted doing manual calculations, or simply trying to understand the use of design aids. So a computer software that is flexible enough to provide prestressed concrete design by either Allowable Stress Design or Design initiating with Load Balancing, will be very useful. Because through the use of a computer the designer would simply have to input the needed parameters for the design and the computer software would automatically output the design, thus saving precious time and eliminating the need for manual calculations and design aids. It also minimize if not totally eliminate human errors involve in a design of prestressed concrete beam.
