Abstract/Summary
Abstract. A survey was utilized to know the top twenty delay factors that affect the construction of high-rise buildings in Metro Manila. Causes and effects of each factors where discussed and possible solution were recommended according to the suggestions of the engineers who were interviewed.
Included here are the top-twenty delay factors that contribute to the delay of high rise buildings. Their distribution according to the three major construction fields, namely Management and Labor, Site Lay-out and Organization and Materials and Equipment was analyzed. Included is the list of top twenty delay sub-factors for a more detailed understanding of the events contributing the most effect. Delays were also grouped based on the activity that it affected or where it could be encountered.
