Abstract/Summary
A total of forty one (41) specimens of stony corals were collected at Balayan Bay, Bagalangit, Mabini, Batangas during the months of April and May 1998. The corals were identified and classified based on the systematic accounts of Nemenzo (1986) and Veron (1986). The initial identifications were verified at the National Museum, Manila. The coral collection includes twenty four (24) species representing thirteen (13) genera and seven (7) families. A systematic account of the corals is rendered including a general classification, taxonomic keys from the class to the species level, photographs and pictorials. Voucher specimens of the corals are deposited at the DLSU Zoology Collection.
