Policies and Ethics Statement

Publication Ethics

The DLSU Senior High School Research Congress Proceedings is committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in research and academic publishing, guided by the principles outlined in its publication process.

All manuscripts published in the proceedings are open access. Re-uploading any material from the DLSU Senior High School Research Congress Proceedings to other websites or internal databases without prior permission is strictly prohibited.

Peer Review Policy

All manuscripts accepted for inclusion in the DLSU Senior High School Research Congress Proceedings undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process. Only manuscripts that have also been approved for presentation during the scheduled dates of the Research Congress are considered for publication, with further deliberation by the Publications Committee. This review process ensures that each submission is evaluated objectively and fairly by independent experts in the relevant fields. By adhering to this standard, the DLSU Senior High School Research Congress maintains the integrity and academic excellence of its published proceedings.

Publisher Responsibilities

  • The Publisher, DLSU Senior High School Research Congress, claims no other proprietary rights other than rights arising from publishing rights.
  • The Publisher may use the work for educational and promotional purposes within the institution without further permission from the authors.
  • Whenever approached by third parties for permission to use, reprint, or republish the Work, the Publisher will confer with the Author(s) but retains the right to grant or withhold permission at its sole discretion.

Author Responsibilities

  • The Author retains the non-exclusive right to revise, adapt, prepare derivative works, present orally, or distribute the work for personal, noncommercial purposes consistent with prior agreements with their employer.
  • The Author retains patent, trademark, and other intellectual property rights (including research data) and warrants the right to assign publishing rights without prior assignment conflicts.
  • The Author has the right to paper attribution and credit for the published work, and may reprint the work in anthologies or books comprised of their writings, with notification to the Editor and Publisher.
  • The Author agrees to hold harmless and indemnify the Publisher against any claims arising from plagiarism, libel, defamation, obscenity, unlawfulness, invasion of privacy, or copyright infringement in the Work, and is responsible for the integrity of the Work’s contents.
  • No monetary compensation is provided to the Author for assignment of publishing rights.
  • The Author certifies that the Work is original and that all sources and data are properly cited.

Retraction and Withdrawal Guidelines

Manuscripts may be retracted in cases of major errors, ethical violations, or proven misconduct. A retraction notice will be issued to the author(s)’ email address(es), explaining the reason for retraction.

Authors may request to withdraw their manuscript before publication. Such requests must be submitted in writing and approved by the Publications Head. Withdrawals after publication are highly discouraged.

Plagiarism Policy

The DLSU Senior High School Research Congress strictly prohibits plagiarism in any form. All submitted manuscripts must be the original work of the authors and properly cite all sources and references. Any work found to contain plagiarism will be disqualified from publication.

Artificial Intelligence Policy

Any content generated with the assistance of artificial intelligence (AI) must be explicitly acknowledged and properly cited. Acceptable uses of AI tools may include language refinement, grammar correction, or formatting support. However, the full generation of content, ideas, or analyses by AI without appropriate disclosure is strictly prohibited. Authors remain fully responsible for ensuring the accuracy, originality, and integrity of all AI-assisted work.
