Corallum massive; upper surface convex, creeping over dead coral of same kind; edge thinly epithecate.
Corallites small, at most 3 mm diameter for cylindrical one, 3 x 2.5 mm for oval one; only 1 mm projecting above peritheca; almost evenly distributed, around 1.5 mm from each other. Wall very thin. Calice round or oval, fossa tiny because of broad septa.
Septa in 3 cycles – third cycle usually incomplete, not reaching columella, found only in few large corallites. Primaries very prominent, widest, thickest and most exsert (around 1 mm above calicinal rim), reaching columella or calicinal center. Secondaries narrower, some not reaching columella or calicinal center, exsert, not as high as primaries. Septal edges entire, surface finely spinulate.
Columella absent or obsolescent or merely a tiny plate.
Peritheca vesiculate all over; vesicles mostly closed, but some open big ones present; tabulate in section.
Costae prominent throughout height of corallite but differ in thickness according to cycle.
