Corallum 84 x 76 mm diameter (biggest specimen). Similar to typical F. fungites but septal margin with fine triangular teeth, their position being continued across septa by fairly prominent ridges. Septa beyond the third cycle abruptly raised into lobes about the middle of their courses; beyond these lobes they approximate the other septa in height up to the margin of the corallum. Septal surface densely, very finely granulate. Septa sinuous, with abundant spatulate projections inside fossa.
Central fossa small but strikingly deep.
Undersurface relatively laxly spinulate. Subequal costae limited to narrow peripheral portion; inwardly most of them are lost so remaining costae appear much thicker than on peripheral area. Spines reduced in size towards center. Central imperforate area relatively large, at least one third of diameter of corallum, covered with much finer spines than the costae.
