Corallum free, depressed, irregular mass; 3.5 cm thick, around 9 cm across at middle. Both surfaces slightly undulate. Corallites more distant on one side than the other. On the former location they are up to 5 mm distant; on the latter up to 3 mm only.
All corallites projecting from very slightly to 3.5 mm. They are tallest at edge of corallum. Distant corallites around 2 mm average diameter; crowded ones 2.5 mm; tallest ones at edge 3 mm. All cylindrical with thin wall.
Septa in 3 complete cycles, all thin so loculi wide. Primaries only slightly thicker than secondaries, both cycles reaching columella their edges vertical so fossa very constricted. Tertiaries very narrow, far short of columella. Septal surfaces sparsely spinulate; their edges cut into long, slender teeth specially near columella. Septa all exsert; portion over all with entire edges. Costae very prominent, as thin as or very slightly thicker than corresponding septa; edges keeled, cut into fine sharp teeth; tertiary costae only slightly lower than primary and secondary which are equal in height.
Columella small, consisting of few fine tubercles, but oftentimes obscured by almost convergent septa and their long teeth.
Intercalicinal areas abundantly blistery (vesiculate) the spines very fine, scattered unevenly - abundant in some places almost absent in others.
