Corallum frondose, explanate, fan-shaped, attached on one side, 19 x 12 cm across, 1 mm thick at edge, 4 mm at base. Front edge undulate, lateral edge almost straight. Epitheca limited to small area around base of attachment. Lower surface marked with numerous depressions and elevations; some portions with discernible radial arrangement of elevations, other portions show elevations in very limited, hardly noticeable concentric arrangement. Costae minute, represented by rows of very fine granules.
Upper surface looks very crumpled; collines ending 4-5 mm short of lateral edges, their summits rounded or sharp; long ones concentrically arranged but sinuousity and presence of numerous cross-pieces separating calices make concentric arrangement less obvious. Living portion growing over dead portion, the thin growing edge raised and with a narrow strip without collines.
Corallites set in depressions, either singly or in short series or groups. Depressions up to 4-5 deep, 5-8 mm wide measured radially from summit to summit of bordering collines. Fossa funnel-shaped. Corallites actively dividing, young of various sizes abundant; circumoral budding obvious. Large, non-dividing corallites occupying single depressions with as many as 42 septa; smaller ones have less. Calicinal centers with lamellar linkages.
Septa equal in thickness, thicker than adjoining loculi, their edges somewhat keeled, abundantly granulate all over; up to around 50 per cm on collines; few triplets.
Columella tiny, sunken, without or with few tubercles.
