Corallum rather loose tuft of slightly nodulous, slightly sinuous stems and branches, sparingly anastomosing. Main stem 7 mm across; large branch 5.5 mm across at base, both cylindrical. Terminal branchlet 11 mm long, 4 mm across at base, tapered into blunt apex 2.5 mm diameter. Branching produces wide axillary angles. Surface of stems, branches and basal portion of branchlets smooth, but apical region of branchlets slightly roughened by few raised corallites.
Corallites dispersed, unequally distant (3 mm or more apart), 0.5 mm or less in diameter; those on apical region of terminal branchlets have proximal side slightly elevated so their calices face tips of branchlets; elsewhere flush with surface and difficult to see without lens.
Septal picture asymmetrical – 6 primaries unequally developed, sometimes one directive distinguishable. Corallites with incomplete set (usually only 1 or 2) of tiny secondaries. Circumcalicinal ring absent so loculi empty into general perithecal reticulum.
Perithecal area very wide, smooth to unaided eyes, actually very crowded with low spines of even height. Pores and reticulum not obvious.
This coral is close to Anacropora solida Quelch. It can be distinguished from the latter by its corallites which are mostly level with the surface and difficult to find, widely dispersed and without any discernible seriate or subseriate arrangement.
