Corallum corymbose, semicircular in outline, 40 cm x 23 cm, attached on one side, spreading horizontally. Main branches around 1 cm wide, not flattened, gradually tapering, anastomosing. Lower surface with fewer, shorter branchlets (ramiculi) bearing fewer corallites, mostly nariform. Upper surface has bristling appearance due to very crowded, proliferous terminal branchlets or ramiculi, either vertical or oblique. Branches and branchlets bear few scattered corallites even with surface.
Axial and radial corallites hardly distinguishable because they assume same shape and many radials grow as prominent as corresponding axials. Branchlets along edge of corallum develop slender corallites – not very inflated bases. Interior ones produce corallites with very inflated bases so they look like elongated cones. Almost all radials are proliferous, bearing a number of nariform or subimmersed corallites. One peripheral radial corallite with 2 nariform buds: 7 mm high, 3 mm across at base, 1.5 mm at apex. An inner corallite with 2 flush buds: 10 mm high, 4 mm across at base, 1 mm at apex.
Septa in both axial and radial only one cycle (6), reaching radius midpoint, at least one directive distinguishable.
Corallite wall costulate but because of abundance of spinules not obvious except narrow zones just below calice which is devoid of them. Spinules even in height, their apices truncate so they give impression of having been clipped purposely. On branches and branchlets, surface marked with coarse, longitudinal threads, each lined with 2 rows of spinules, spaces or gaps between appearing like crack on an otherwise compact surface.
