Abstract/Executive Summary
Bullying remains a significant concern in educational settings, affecting students’ well-being, safety, and academic development despite the presence of formal policies such as the Anti-Bullying Act of 2013 (RA 10627) in the Philippines. This study aims to assess how the implementation of the Revised Anti-Bullying Act of 2013 is reflected in students’ experiences and how these insights can inform improvements in school-based mechanisms. Employing a qualitative narrative research design, the study utilized semi-structured interviews with ten Grade 12 students selected through criterion sampling, with data analyzed using thematic analysis. Findings reveal that the institution demonstrates consistent preventive and responsive measures, including teacher intervention, disciplinary action, and guidance support, contributing to a generally positive and inclusive school environment. However, gaps persist in terms of policy awareness, visibility, and the timeliness of response procedures, which affect students’ engagement with reporting mechanisms. Participants emphasized the need for clearer communication, more consistent awareness initiatives, and improved efficiency in handling cases. The study concludes that while the institutional framework aligns with the provisions of RA 10627, its effectiveness depends on how policies are communicated, experienced, and enacted at the student level, underscoring the importance of strengthening student-centered approaches to enhance policy implementation and ensure a safer, more responsive learning environment.
