Abstract/Executive Summary
This study examined the relationship between government market assistance and the market sustainability of registered farmers in Taytay, Rizal. The research aimed to determine the extent of government market assistance received by farmers, the level of market sustainability they experience, and whether a significant relationship exists between the two variables. A quantitative correlational research design was employed. Data were collected from 23 registered farmers using a structured survey questionnaire with Likert-scale responses. The findings revealed that government market assistance had a mean score of 3.57, indicating a moderate level of agreement among farmers regarding the support they receive. Meanwhile, market sustainability had a mean score of 3.86, also interpreted as a moderate level of sustainability in terms of income stability, market access, competitiveness, innovative practices, and long-term growth. The Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient showed a strong positive relationship (r = 0.9) between government market assistance and market sustainability. This indicates that increased government support contributes to improved market sustainability among farmers. The study concludes that government programs such as training, technical assistance, provision of farm inputs, and market access play an important role in strengthening farmers’ productivity and long-term sustainability. However, improvements in consistency, accessibility, and program implementation are still needed to maximize the benefits for farmers.
