•   ABOUT THE 6TH SHS CONGRESS   •

THE 6TH DE LA SALLE UNIVERSITY SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL RESEARCH CONGRESS De La Salle University Integrated School renews its commitment to academic excellence and innovation through its annual DLSU Senior High School Research Congress, the largest gathering of senior high school research mentors and students in the Philippines. This initiative aligns with the goals of Industry 5.0, a new phase in the Industrial Revolution that prioritizes collaboration between humans and machines to drive progress.

In the context of Industry 5.0, integrating advanced technologies such as big data analytics, the Internet of Things, collaborative robots, digital twins, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence enables evolutions in healthcare, supply chain, production, cloud manufacturing, research, and education. The DLSU SHS Research Congress is committed to advancing sustainably and consciously while recognizing the significance of innovation, bridging faith and scholarship, and emphasizing the role of research in maximizing available technologies. As Industry 5.0 places a premium on human impact, integrating innovation and sustainability in education ensures a proactive approach to navigating the frontiers of advancement.

The 5th edition of the Congress was a testimony to the significant accessibility and extensive reach of the user-friendly digital platform. Over 3,550 participants from 65 schools nationwide participated in the Congress in various capacities. They contributed to over 200 performances, exhibitions, papers, and poster presentations across diverse fields, including the humanities, social sciences, life and natural sciences, and business. This significantly enriched the academic discourse across disciplines and reflected the event’s success.

The 6th DLSU Research Congress is fueled not only by the growing reliance on artificial intelligence in academia but also by DLSU Integrated School's unwavering dedication to sustainability, encapsulated in the event's theme, "Frontiers in Artificial Intelligence: Traversing the Realm of AI for a Smarter and More Sustainable Future. " In recognizing the societal inclination towards instant gratification and mindless consumption, the Congress also advocates for the welfare of future generations, urging the present generation to act as stewards of today's resources. It seeks to explore how we can navigate the realm of AI productively and sustainably, mitigating potential consequences.

Highlighting a paradigm shift in problem-solving, the Congress is anchored on the transformative potential of powerful technologies when wielded responsibly. These technologies provide unprecedented access to computing power, enabling us to scale, predict, and innovate, ultimately guiding us toward novel solutions, leading to a smarter and more sustainable future.
