Event Overview

The Arts and Design Research Presentation is a platform for emerging scholar-artists whose research and/or creative works respond to the pressing challenges of a digitally connected, crisis-proactive society through innovation, provocation, or mediation. This event is open for artists or researchers engaged in the visual arts, design and applied arts, digital arts, film, creative writing, performing arts, music, dance, and community-based art projects.



Submission Guidelines

Follow the instructions below to submit to DLSU Senior High School Research Congress. You will be notified shortly regarding the suitability of your submission for the series/journal.


1. Before submitting, please read all relevant policies and/or submission guidelines.

The submission process consists of the following steps:         
  • Read and accept the Submission Agreement below.         
  • Provide information about yourself and any co-authors.     
  • Upload your electronic file, if any, and associated files.

  • Before you begin, please be sure you have the following items:
  • The submission's title
  • Abstract (up to 250 words)
  • A list of keywords (10 maximum)
  • The electronic format of your file, or hyperlink to your file, if any

  • In submitting your research paper, please take note of the following:

  • 2. After accomplishing the form, name the file according to this format before uploading it: [Research Theme_Surname Author 1_Surname Author 2_Surname Author 3_Surname Author 4] ( e.g. FNH_Ador_Guerero_Manzano_Ona).

    3. Save the manuscript into Portable Document Format (PDF). The PDF file must not include any identifying information such as author/s name and institutional affiliation.

    In submitting your research paper, please take note of the following:

  • Likewise, please be reminded of the following:

    1. ONLY registered participants are allowed to accomplish this form. The Congress Primer can be found by following this link.
    2. Each registered school may ONLY submit a maximum of 20 manuscripts for ALL Congress events.
    3. Submission of entries is from March 31 to May 19, 2023, ONLY.
    4. There will be a blind selection process for all submitted Arts and Design Research Presentations. However, the 5th DLSU SHS Research Congress Committee reserves the right to exclude submitted manuscripts from review on the ground of non-compliance with the Congress’ format, scope, and guidelines. Thus, authors are advised to proofread their manuscript and comply with the guidelines set by the Committee.
    5. Notices of Acceptance and Non-Acceptance will be released from June 5 to 16, 2023 to the email address of your contact person.
    6. Registered Participants whose Research Presentations are accepted are automatically considered as PRESENTERS.
    7. The authors are instructed to review their responses before submitting them. Editing is only allowed for select circumstances.


    Data Privacy

    The personal information collected will only be used by the DLSU SHS Research Congress committee for the purposes defined at the time of the collection or a use that complies with these purposes. The organizers will not share your information with any third parties.

    The organizers will not, in any circumstances, share your personal information with other individuals or organizations without your permission, including public organizations, corporations, or individuals, except when applicable by law. The organizers will also not sell, communicate or divulge your information to any mailing lists.

    Submission Instructions

    All proposals must be submitted online via animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph. Interested authors may submit a maximum of three abstracts. ONLY registered participants are allowed to accomplish the Submission Form. The Congress Primer can be found by following this link.

    Create New Account
    1. Go to animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph and click My Account.
    2. Create a new account by clicking “Sign up.”
    3. Fill out the form. Your email address will be used as your username, and you will be asked to create a password. Please ensure the correctness of the information you enter as it will be used for official communications.
    Confirmation Email
    1. Check your email for the confirmation link to activate your account and continue with your submission.
    Accomplish Submission Form
    1. Log in using your username and password. Check the “I’m not a robot.”
    2. Accomplish the submission form.
    In submitting your research paper, please take note of the following:

    • The format for the Arts and Design Research Presentations as stated in the Congress Primer can be found on this link.
    • Use the following format for the file name of the submission: [Research Theme_Surname Author 1_Surname Author 2_Surname Author 3_Surname Author 4] ( e.g. FNH_Ador_Guerero_Manzano_Ona).
    • For supplemental files that must also be submitted, first check the box next to "Please check this if you’d like to add additional files" which can be found towards the bottom of the form and then click the Submit button.
    • Save the manuscript into Portable Document Format (PDF). The PDF file must not include any identifying information such as author/s name and institutional affiliation.
    NON-COMPLIANCE with the required template merits disqualification.

    Submission Agreement for DLSU Senior High School Research Congress

    By submitting my work, I grant DLSU Senior High School Research Congress on behalf of De La Salle University the non-exclusive right to distribute my submission ("the Work") over the Internet and make it part of the Animo Repository.

    I warrant as follows:
  • that I have the full power and authority to make this agreement;
  • that the Work does not infringe any copyright, nor violate any proprietary rights, nor contain any libelous matter, nor invade the privacy of any person or third party;
  • that the Work has not been published elsewhere with the same content or in the same format; and
  • that no right in the Work has in any way been sold, mortgaged, or otherwise disposed of, and that the Work is free from all liens and claims.
  • I understand that once a peer-reviewed Work is deposited in the repository, it may not be removed.

  • By submitting my Arts and Design Research presentation in the DLSU Research Congress submission page, I/we hereby affirm that I/we have read, understood, and accept the terms and conditions in the Submission Guidelines set by the organizers of the said event.

    Furthermore, by submitting my Arts and Design Research presentation in the DLSU Research Congress submission page, I/we hereby voluntarily grant consent to the 5th DLSU SHS Research Congress to publish my/our entry in the Book of Abstracts, Congress Proceedings, and other Congress platforms should our entry be accepted.
