La Revela is a business formed in 2021 as the business simulation project of its founding members. The concept of the business was developed with the vision of the group to help raise awareness against Dengue and promote sustainability in businesses. La Revela is a sole proprietorship business as it is the easiest form of business to operate. The owner is Amanda Zoleta who oversees the actions of the key management officers, Verwilla Aponte for Finance, Diana Balila for Human Resources, Katrina Durana for Marketing, and Soleil Senen for Operations. All members acquire basic skills in management, finance, and operating business. Key support groups of La Revela are the business’ research adviser and suppliers. As of March 2022, La Revela’s developmental stage is establishing the business’ brand in its market with the continuous release of the flagship collection with product diversification releases and constant social media presence, the common ground between La Revela and its market. La Revela fulfills its mission by spreading awareness of societal issues, specifically several sustainable development goals. The products of La Revela are mosquito repellent, aromatherapeutic, sustainable, and aesthetically pleasing candles. La Revela’s market is consumers capable of purchasing its products, specifically consumers who are health-conscious and collectors of aesthetic pieces. To penetrate the market, La Revela highlights the unique features of its products by maximizing the use of Facebook and Instagram. As for market competition, La Revela’s competitors are other businesses operating in De La Salle University and leading brands in the candle industry. La Revela had a starting capital of P20,000, wherein all members contributed evenly. As of March 2022, La Revela has reached its breakeven and accumulated total sales of P67,120.36 and total expenses of P54,531.00. The capital would be returned equally to the investors once La Revela’s operations end.
