The De La Salle Philippines (DLSP) Library Commission and the PLAI Northern Mindanao Region Librarians Council are inviting librarians and library staff to submit paper proposals for presentation at the 6th DLSP Librarians' Conference. The conference will be held onsite at the Lasalle University Ozamiz on 26-28 June 2026, and is open to the public.
This Conference is a venue for librarians and library staff to share their research studies, learn best practices from among libraries, tap collaborations for interdisciplinary engagements, discover new possibilities, and contribute to the knowledge capital of the Library and Information Science (LIS) field and its related fields of study.
This year’s conference, themed Talent, Technology, Innovation—The Future of Libraries Unfolding, explores how libraries are evolving in the digital age. It will highlight the role of skilled professionals, emerging technologies, and innovative practices in shaping the future of library services and knowledge management. Participants can expect insightful discussions, case studies, and strategies for advancing libraries in a rapidly changing world.
The Commission is interested in papers that contribute to the following topics along the theme:
Track 1: Talent Development and Leadership

- Mentorship, coaching, and succession planning
- Lifelong learning and professional growth
Track 2: Emerging Technologies in Libraries
- Artificial intelligence, machine learning, and automation

- Cybersecurity, data ethics, and privacy considerations
Track 3: Innovation in Library Services and Spaces
- User-centered service design and experience

Track 4: Libraries and the Future of Learning
- Information literacy, digital literacy, and media literacy

- Papers submitted to this conference are not exclusive to DLSP, thus, may still be submitted to other research dissemination conferences.
- Submitted abstracts shall undergo a blind peer-review process to conceal the authors’ identity from reviewers.
- Upon receipt of notification of abstract acceptance with review, authors shall be given time to incorporate revisions to complete his/her full paper.
- Authors must submit a full paper with his/her presentation slides on or before 17 June 2026.
- Authors are required to follow the Instructions for Authors to be considered for acceptance.
- Submit a 700-1000-word count abstract, strictly adhering to this structure (all should appear):
- Introduction/research problem
- Research questions
- Research objectives
- Methodology (design, approach)
- Findings and discussion (expected results)
- Conclusion and recommendations (if available)
- Research limitations
- Practical implications/value of the paper
- Include keywords (3-6)

Authors of accepted papers for conference presentation shall receive a certificate of paper presentation, and a modest honorarium per presented paper.
