Communication Arts students bagged the top prize in the 12th Gawad CCP para sa Alternatibong Pelikula at Video for the documentary category. Basura: Yaman ng Bayan, by Melissa Garcia, Charles Jansen Chua and Reynaldo Constantino is a 30-minute documentary of the Estinor family, one of the families affected by the Smokey Mountain Development and Reclamation Project.
