Abstract/Summary

Fear Not! discusses the sound design in horror films. Particularly, it details how recorded language, musical score, and sound effects all play crucial roles in a horror film’s narrative. Although bearing equal importance to its visual counterpart, there is a scarce amount of groundwork on the auditory aspect of a horror film. Thus, the podcast would highlight the significance of such in sound designing for horror.

The proponents scrutinized studies and horror films alike in creating a podcast that would be easier for an average listener to understand. Moreover, the proponents have also secured the necessary permissions required in order to use the audio soundbites that are in the audio podcast.
