Abstract/Summary
Set around Taft Avenue, Lost in Food: Budget-Friendly Meals in Taft is a web series pilot that centers on two friends who embark on a journey to uncover how food is closely linked to people's nostalgic experiences. Starting by sharing their memories and viewpoints towards change, the narrative will progress as they meet up with other personalities and engage in meaningful conversations with them.
Divided into two parts, the proponents sat down with an alumni (Jian David) and two undergraduate students from De La Salle University Manila (Asti Orencio & Rhod Campo). They opened up an accessible environment for conversations regarding the deeper layers enmeshed within people's nostalgic emotions and the reasons behind them.
Apart from a tour of some of the well-known eateries in the vicinity, the narrative highlights the "before and after" of people's life experiences in the hopes of determining how nostalgia can become an active source that impacts people's outlooks on the future, and moves them to discover new life lessons.
Both parts of the show begin with fictional aspects to provide entertaining elements and serve as transitions between the food anecdotes and the more in-depth discussions.
