Abstract/Summary

This action research paper aimed to study on improving the working relationships of the officers of a socio-civic organization by improving the current communication and engagement practices. It examined existing situations in the organization and worked on addressing communication channels and activities to improve the situation. Collaborators of this research underwent two cycles of research to better understand the current status of the club and how they improve the situation. Through discussions and understanding of previous events, the collaborators found that the communication and engagement practices were lacking in making both officers and members “enjoy” being in the club and being effective in the implementation of projects. The two cycles of action research made the collaborators reflect and learn more on how they can achieve an effective team and club as a whole – through having fellowships which are activities outside the routine or functional tasks.
