Abstract/Summary

This action research attempts to establish a system to strengthen the operational controls of product and service provision activities of Accugine Aluminum and Glass Works. Past problems and mistakes with previous clients i.e. wrong measurement and wrong quantity of items supplied have caused the organization not only financial losses but relationship woes and customer dissatisfaction. Having undergone the action research cycle of Constructing, Planning, Implementing and Evaluating Action, the researchers and the collaborators have discovered a way to reduce these errors and strengthen operational control by the introduction of forms/checklists and consistent implementation of such, the use of documented procedures in the conduct of ocular and installation activities, and strengthening the competency of staff. The implementation of such has shown great results in terms of minimizing profit losses and delays in the conduct of the organization‘s activities.
