Abstract/Summary

Nation Ceramics Manufacturing Incorporated (NCMI) is a domestic and family owned corporation which manufactures toilet fixtures in the Philippines. The company was established in 1986 and its plant is situated in Binan, Laguna. The Nation brand is one of the leading procedures of pail flush bowl or de buhos in the market and holds an 8% share of the market. The bulk of the companys products are sold to the D & E market segments. The bathroom fixtures industry is a very price sensitive industry, especially in the low-end toilet fixtures manufacturers.

Due to globalization and trade liberalization, influx of imported & cheaper toilet fixtures invaded the country. Local manufacturers are having a hard time maintaining their market share and CNMI is one of the affected companies. The company needs to formulate strategies to improve its market reach and be able to provide the lowest price to its customers.

The strategies creates were to improve the cost efficiency by making sure that equipment's are maintained in good condition and to aggressively promote the brand to the market and improve the product mix of the company. The plan could achieve the following objectives of: profitability, low price of products and increase in market growth of the company.
