Abstract/Summary

A tool for designing the most economical route for telecommunications outside plant is being presented. In this study, Genetic Algorithm, which is commonly used for optimization and search problem, will be used to maximize the network. Data from previous manual table top studies will be gathered and tabulated to verify the need for such tool. The same study will be simulated using the tool. Results of simulation will be compared with what had been studied. Cable route, cost and lead times are the factors to be considered in determining the advantages of using the tool.
