Abstract/Summary

This study reviews the job functions of the six administrative personnel of the Commission on Diocesan Schools. The study employed that Descriptive-Evaluative method to review the job functions of the six administrative personnel of the Commission on Diocesan Schools of La Union. Data was obtained through a discussion of the job functions of the administrative personnel and was done in the principals' meeting where all the principals, superintendent, and the financial secretary, being representatives of the administrative team, were present. Answers to the problems raised were derived through a discussion among the respondents. The respondents commented on the job functions and gave their evaluation and suggestions which were used as bases in the proposed improvement of the job functions. The study presented the following findings:1) The respondents find the provision of the Manual of Policies acceptable with modifications. It was suggested that the job functions of the aforementioned administrative personnel be retained in the Manual of Policies.2) The Director of Schools, Superintendent of Schools, and the Administrative Supervisory Team have job functions that have to be deleted in as much as they are not really carried out by them.

The study concluded that there are some incongruencies between those that are included in the job functions appearing in the Manual of Policies of the Commission on Diocesan Schools of La Union. As a result of the review and panel discussion on the job functions of the Administrative Personnel, the Manual of Policies has to be revised and only those items actually performed by the Administrative Personnel should be included in the list of their job functions.
