The construction of magic squares using double symmetric Lunda-designs

This paper presents a method of constructing magic squares with the help of double symmetric Lunda-designs. It mainly discusses a step-by-step procedure in generating Lunda-designs with the use of mirror curves and the construction of associated magic squares of order 4p. All of the theorems and formulas given in this thesis are results of Paulus Gerdes contained in his article "On Lunda-design and the Construction of Associated Magic Squares of Order 4p". However, this paper gives a much more detailed exposition of the proofs and derivation of the theorems and formulas presented in the said paper.
