Abstract/Executive Summary
On July 19, 2024, The Fiore was conceptualized with the mission to promote ocean waste awareness through recycled HDPE barrette clips. Formed as a sole proprietorship, the business ensures legal compliance through registration with the BIR, DTI, and the local government. Its current development stage involves product diversification through a recycled HDPE mirror keychain, sustaining its advocacy for sustainability. Relatively, trademark and copyright registration are being considered to be secured in the future. Positioned in the sustainable hair accessories industry, The Fiore primarily targets DLSU students and environmentally aware consumers. Its competitors are those selling similar types of products, specifically accessories from online retailers. Thus, to differentiate itself in the market, the business uses recycled HDPE plastic, an uncommon material in the hair accessories industry. Moreover, the business exerts marketing efforts by focusing on digital platforms, highlighting socio-cultural posts, and product promotion. To increase relevance, The Fiore also participates in university-led events like ABM bazaars. Currently, the management involves a CEO, COO, CFO, and CMO, contributing different expertise in various areas. The team is supported by a research advisor, enhancing product development and venture credibility. The business relies on equity-based financing. An initial capital of ₱5,475, contributed by the founding team, funded early-stage operations. As the business scales, an additional ₱15,000 in internal funding will be allocated to expand production and enhance marketing. Since all funds originated from internal equity, returns will be proportionally distributed among the founding contributors.
