Abstract/Executive Summary
Formed in January 2024, MEANT Company is a business enterprise named after its founders' first name initials — Marielle, Erich, Althea, Nabih, and Tyra — which aims to bridge fashion, comfort, and sustainability. The company is a sole proprietorship owned by Mr. Nabih Tarek A. Jaber, who has an impressive academic and leadership background. The other management personnel were also chosen based on their organizational history and work ethic. The flagship product is called ULAP, which is a bag that can be used as a pillow and is made from an environmentally friendly fabric, linen. Therefore, because of the product's dual functionality, the company belongs to the bag and pillow markets. Belonging to either market is highly competitive, but belonging to both offers advantages in terms of uniqueness and a greater customer base. Thus, MEANT Company targets not only bag lovers but also those who want to take a nap at school, at work, or during their commute without bringing a pillow and sacrificing their aesthetics. Up to this date, the product has been marketed through Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, and it has successfully gained traction with over 5,000 views in some publicly posted videos. The company has also improved their flagship product for diversification. The improved products feature new designs and include a waterproof functionality while maintaining their environmental friendliness, making them unique and potentially proprietary in the market. The management team members are currently supported by their parents for any monetary requirement, but they would repay their parents as soon as the business prospers. Overall, the initial capital was 25,000 pesos.
