Abstract/Executive Summary

Cords Classic is a clothing business conceptualized in 2023 and officially started operations in February of 2024. The company sells corduroy half-zip long sleeves, a garment made from corduroy fabric, applicable in both casual and formal settings. This idea was formed from the concept of slow fashion, integrating versatile materials to sustain and avoid textile waste and mass production. They have acquired registrations to file taxes from the Bureau of Internal Revenue, comply with the City of Santa Rosa, and legally use the company’s business name through the Department of Trade and Industry. They operate as a sole proprietorship for its accessibility as a start-up brand and have ventured into the highly saturated fashion industry, using aggressive marketing strategies to attract customers and build strong brand positioning to compensate for similar market offerings. Utilizing the social media platforms of Facebook and Instagram, as well as physical and word-of-mouth influences, brand exposure and engagement continuously grow at a stable rate. The key management personnel is composed of Jake Allen De Luna, the owner, as well as Joei Mamaril, Patricia Lagamayo, John Ray Espulgar, and Enzo Abanales, as the heads of Finance, Marketing, Operations, and Human Resources, respectively. Although existing clothing brands, such as Uniqlo and Giordano, offer similar products, Cords Classic positions its products as a more affordable and versatile clothing brand catering to markets of lower income classes. Each member contributed Php 4,000 for a starting capital of Php 20,000 allocated for production and promotional costs. This has led to generated gross sales of Php 71,525, profitably selling from the product launching of the ABM Bazaar up to Family Day.
