Abstract / Executive Summary

In adherence with the sustainable development goals, this scholarly endeavor assessed the transformational strategy and its thrust to the academic performance of the students in Bataan. This study is basically propelled by the persistent aspiration to achieve quality education a midst adversity. Specifically, it conducted a study on the profile of the teachers of the select public high schools in Bataan in terms age, sex, educational attainment, rank/position, years in service and seminars and trainings attended. Moreover, the researcher studied the significant difference between transformational teaching strategy and the profile of the English teachers. The researcher also developed a transformative learning program with the perceptions of the teachers about transformation teaching strategy as the bases of such. Upon procuring the results of the study through survey-questionnaires, it reveals that public school teachers who are currently rendering their service in the schools in Bataan are mostly adults; they are also dominated by female and are categorized into three levels – young age, middle age and old age. Moreover, most public school teachers have already realized the very essence of professional growth through enrolling to several graduate schools. In the light of the findings of this study some conclusions were drawn. The teacher-related factors such as age, educational attainment and seminars and trainings attended are related to the teaching strategies they employ. More so, the teacher- related factors such sex, position and years and service and transformational teaching strategies don’t have significant relationship. Lastly, the transformational teaching strategy and students’ academic performance in english have significant relationship.
