Abstract / Executive Summary

The call of education in the twenty-first century is contextualization. As a result, teachers are expected to carry out lesson plans that are ingrained in the students. During the first semester of the school year 2024–2025, contextualized lesson plan exemplars were created to leverage the fundamental learning abilities in English for Academic and Professional Purposes. centered on R.A. When creating the enhanced basic education curriculum, the DepED must follow the guidelines set forth in 10533, also known as the Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013: (d) The curriculum must be globally relevant and contextualized. Similarly, contextualized teaching and learning (CTL), also called contextualized instruction, was used. By concentrating teaching and learning on tangible applications in a particular context that the student finds interesting, it is defined as a broad family of instructional strategies intended to more smoothly connect the acquisition of foundational skills with academic or occupational content (Mazzeo, 2008). The current study used a descriptive-correlational approach to examine the solidity and weight of the data in order to identify and close the gap with the contextualization of lesson plan exemplars in EAPP. The pretest mean for the experimental group was 2. 44 with a Satisfactory or S verbal interpretation. At the same time, 8.02 with a verbal interpretation of VS (Very Satisfactory) was revealed by the posttest. The results concluded that by providing learners with real-world concepts, contextualization makes teachable competencies easier to understand. English language acquisition and contextualization have been found to interact significantly with the competencies listed in the EAPP for Grade 12. This indicates that achieving language competency would be greatly aided by contextualization if used appropriately.
