The De La Salle University (DLSU) Libraries, in collaboration with the Philippine Normal University Library and Information Science Alumni Association (PNULISAA), will host a two-day online conference on 17-18 June 2026 with the theme "Beyond Search and Collections: Libraries in Evolving Information Ecosystems."
The 7th Conference on Library and Information Studies (CLIS 2026) brings together library professionals, educators, practitioners, and students from around the world to explore how libraries are evolving within increasingly interconnected information environments shaped by digital platforms, data-driven services, and institutional and external partnerships.
This two-day event features keynote speakers and peer-reviewed presentations that highlight emerging trends, professional practices, and research related to digital discovery, research support, knowledge platforms, and evidence-informed library services. Attendees will discuss how libraries can strengthen their roles in teaching, learning, research, and community engagement while operating within complex information ecosystems.
An on-site pre-conference workshop will also be held on 16 June 2026, in conjunction with the main conference. The workshop is designed to provide a venue for interactive and collaborative learning and will include discussions, Q&A sessions, and hands-on activities related to contemporary research and library practices.
Opportunity to Publish
Selected conference papers will be invited for possible publication in a Special Issue of Information Generation & Management (IGM) (3082-5067; Online), subject to further editorial review and compliance with the journal's publication standards.
Authors of high-quality papers will be notified after the conference and guided through the special issue submission and review process. This publication opportunity aims to extend the impact of CLIS 2026 research contributions and support the dissemination of scholarly and professional work on libraries in evolving information ecosystems.
